Below is a list of the individuals who have been chosen as the Top 10 semi-finalists in the Who Wants To Create A Super-Heroine contest.

They have each been sent a letter of instructions, among which is that they are not to identify their winning submission anywhere (we clearly defined what that meant in the letter).  They are to turn in the first 5 pages of their script by a specified deadline. If they disregard this or any of the other instructions they’ve been sent, they will be immediately disqualified from the competition. If eliminated, there will be no replacement due to time constraints.

If you entered the contest and your name is not listed below, we thank you for your participation and hope that we can count on you to vote for the winner and support the book when it is released, in a show of solidarity.

The five finalists’ synopses will be posted without creator names attached on the following message board: www.kris-korner.com/forums. Further rules, regulations and timelines will posted there as well.

Synopses will be posted on March 10th, 2008. Voting will begin on March 10th at 12 noon (CST) and end on April 4th at 12 noon (CST).

We thank everyone who entered, and especially Matt and Mike at Newsarama for all of their help and support. And, of course, Franchesco! who will bring the whole thing to life!

The semi-finalists are (in alphabetical order):

1.  Tom Arguello
2.  Corey Brotherson
3.  Kat Cahill
4.  DeWayne Feenstra
5.  John Karoauk
6.  Dirk Manning
7.  Rev. C. Edward Sellner
8.  Joe Sergi
9.  Aaron Settle
10. Kristopher Waddell

Thank you again for your participation and interest,

Jim Valentino, Kris Simon

If any of the semi-finalists are on the board, they are welcome to share their glee.   Wink

Just don't divulge anything specific about your entry.

The only name I recognize is Dirk Manning.  Perhaps a newbie will win this contest?

I know the name Kat Cahill.  Not sure how I know it, but I certainly know it.

Who is Dirk Manning?

Congratulations, folks!

Hey, after the contest is over, are people allowed to say which is theirs?  Frankly, I am deathly curious as to what the Rev. came up with(of course, if he is *the* finalist, that will be easy to determine).  Smiley

Just wanted to take a moment first to congratulate the 10 finalists and to thank Kris and Jim for hosting this contest.  It was a pleasure to be a part of and despite not getting picked my partner, Stormcrow, and I are thankful for the opportunity to have our pitch heard by industry professionals.

Cheers Then,

Well, my rollercoaster ride ends here.
I can't wait to read the entries, and see the final outcome.

I gotta thank you guys for giving me the impetus to start generating new stuff.
I now have a pretty big collection of female characters to develop.

Good luck to all in the top 10-

May the force be with you!
